This site has two purposes. One, to provide a center hub on the Internet for those seeking links to Guadalcanal information, and Two, to provide original content on this important military campaign. For the moment the majority of my site's content will focus on photographs rather than text histories, though that will change in the future.
I had previously done a website about the air war over Guadalcanal titled "A Tribute to the Cactus Air Force". That website is strictly about the air war, and does not cover the ground or naval battles. Eventually I want to make this website as extensive a coverage of the ground and naval wars as my Cactus Air Force site is for the air war over Guadalcanal.
I will continue to add to this site as time goes by, so check back here in the future to see how things are progressing. If you know of any links, books, photos, stories, or whatever that should be posted here, please let me know.
