STATE OF OKLAHOMA
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

OKLAHOMA CITY
OCTOBER 22, 1968
Captain Ralph M. Hanson, USN
Commanding Officer
U. S. Naval Ammunition Depot

Dear Captain Hanson:

Belatedly, I send with pride the OKIE pin which accompanies your OKIE
certificate and I express my gratitude for the Ambassador you have been
and that you are for all of Oklahoma.  I am totally aware of the public
relations job you have done for the State, the manner in which you have
placed forward the best interest of your adopted State.  I am proud to
claim you as a true OKIE.

Knowing of the events Saturday with the Secretary of the Navy and
Oklahoma's own Delbert D. Black, I should appreciate if you might, in
behalf of the Governor's office, present with the proper dignity and
flourish this certificate and pin to the Navy's top enlisted man.

With warm, personal regards, I thank you for this deed which I do hope
you will willingly accept.
Sincerely,

/s/ DEWEY F. BARTLETT
GOVERNOR
