OKLAHOMA MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL
CAPTAIN RALPH M. HANSON, UNITED STATES NAVY, FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICE TO 
THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA AND THE OKLAHOMA NATIONAL GUARD FROM AUGUST 1965 
TO JANUARY 1970.

CAPTAIN HANSON HAS DISTINGUISHED HIMSELF THROUGH HIS EFFORTS AS COMMAND 
OFFICER OF THE NAVAL AMMUNITION DEPOT, MC ALESTER, OKLAHOMA, DURING THE
ABOVE PERIOD.  HIS UNTIRING EFFORT AND PERSONAL SACRIFICE IN HIS DUAL ROLE
OF COMMANDER AND EMPLOYER OF MANY OKLAHOMA ARMY NATIONAL GUARDSMEN HAVE
COMMANDED THE RESPECT AND GRATITUDE OF ALL HIS ASSOCIATES, BOTH MILITARY 
AND CIVILIAN.  HIS PERFORMANCE IN SUPPORTING THE NATIONAL GUARD AS AN
UNDERSTANDING EMPLOYER HAS REPEATEDLY RESULTED IN COMMENDATIONS IN HIS
BEHALF BEING BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE OKLAHOMA MILITARY DEPARTMENT.

CAPTAIN HANSON'S DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF MC ALESTER, THE
STATE OF OKLAHOMA AND THE OKLAHOMA NATIONAL GUARD REFLECTS GREAT CREDIT ON
THE UNITED STATES NAVY, THE OKLAHOMA MILITARY ESTABLISHMENT, THE STATE OF
OKLAHOMA AND ITS PEOPLE.
